At restaurant søren k we like to keep in step with the world in general and the seasons in particular. As a consequence we offer up our menus in tribute to the produce of the season – in our experience that makes for the tastiest foods, and it gives us the pleasure of experimenting with the freshest of produce from the market to boot.
À la carte menu
We compose a set menu as well as our à la carte menu. Our à la carte menu changes according to the offerings on the market. You can find our current à la carte menu here. The à la carte card is mainly for smaller group less than 10-15 guests.
Seasonal menu
Our set menu makes it easy for our customers to choose and order well in advance. The menu is targeted at 10 people or more. Be aware that the same menu should be ordered for the entire group of guest. Please allow us at least 3 days to prepare for your visit! If some of the guests have allergies or are vegetarians we will take this into account, as long as were know it in advance.
In the following material, we suggest a good wine complimenting each course, if you do not wish this wine, we offer a number of other wines, at a good price. During the ordering process, you should consider choice of aperitif and whether or not you would like coffee, petit fours and choice of digestive. We will gladly provide you with guidance, so in case of any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our sales office. We look forward to receiving your order.

Party in the Black Diamond at søren k
Søren k has many years of experience with catering for weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. We have the perfect settings with a fantastic view of Copenhagen harbour, stylish Scandinavian design, excellent service and quality food and wine. A big party is a unique event and we have a lot experience in catering to your specific wishes.
We will help plan your event, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy the evening, reassured that everything is taken care of. Below we have sketched an offer for a complete party package. Extra features can be added to the offer, or you can choose to create a unique menu including wine, desserts, bar, etc., tailored to your needs and budget.

The above offer is valid for a minimum of 40 guests, starting at 6PM and finishing at 2AM.
We have a maximum capacity of 140 guests.
Additional features could include canapés, extra serving of aperitif, extra courses, more expensive wines, extended opening hours, bar with spirits, jukebox or other wishes you may have. We even have the opportunity to offer a special discount on accommodation at Admiral Hotel at events with us.
The aperitif will be served on the terrace outside the restaurant or in the Atrium of the Black Diamond, depending on the weather. Dinner is served in the restaurant, coffee and tea in our café, and the bar will be set up in the restaurant where the later part of the party will take place.
We will be happy to plan and create the best possible setting for your event.
Tips and advice for planning an event
Aperitif
Is a single serving of aperitif sufficient or would you require a top off? Do you have special requests regarding the choice of aperitif, and would you like a serving of canapés alongside?
Toastmaster
It is a good idea to select a toastmaster to coordinate speeches, songs and entertainment with the waiting staff, so everything runs smoothly during dinner.
Decorations/table layout
Think about how you would like the tables to be set up and whether you require extra table decorations. Normally we place 8 to12 guests at long tables, so everybody can enjoy the view of the harbour. White tablecloths and cloth napkins, along with simple flower arrangements are included in the standard price. If you require additional decorations, these can be ordered through us, but you can also choose to bring them yourself.
Seating plan/menus
The waiting staff will introduce the courses as they are served, but a written menu on the table may be a good idea. A seating plan on display will help guests to find their seat. Think about whether you would like us to place the name cards at the tables or take care of that yourself.
Presents
Think about whether the presents are to be opened at the party or whether it would be better to wait until the day after. If they are opened during the party, we recommend that it be after dinner while the guests are drinking coffee, in which case we will be happy to set up a table for the presents in the café area. Think about how to get the presents home after the party, and select a person to be in charge of that. It is possible to leave the presents with us, and then pick them up the next day.
Music
Would you like dancing after the dinner? And would you like a jukebox, a DJ or a band? Jukebox can be arranged through us, and we will be happy to recommend a DJ. If you have booked a band, they are more than welcome to visit us on beforehand to view the space.
Schedule
We will work out an estimated schedule with you for the evening.
Weddings
In our experience, weddings include a lot of speeches and songs, therefore we estimate the dinner itself will take 3-4 hours, and we recommend that you plan to start quite early. If making it to the first dance as husband and wife before midnight is important to you, we will make a schedule that accommodates that wish. Think about whether the music to the bridal waltz is to be played on the jukebox or by a band. We have our own bakery, and would be pleased to make your special "cake of the life". Together we will find the right content and decoration of the cake.

For groups of more than 10 guests, we are pleased to offer the above. To ensure the best possible service to our groups and other guests, we kindly ask you to order the menu and beverages minimum 3 days prior to the arrival.

Private function menu and wines
Our set private function menu makes it easy for clients to choose and order well in advance.
For parties of more than 10 people we would like a menu order in advance. That way we can make sure you get the best possible service, on the level for which we are well-known. Our set menu makes it easy to choose and order well in advance, and as several of the menu items demand a good deal of preparation, we need the order at least 2 days before your party.
It is important for us to have an identical menu for the entire party. Upon request in advance, we will of course change certain elements due to religious or allergic reasons,
In the following material we will recommend a suited wine for each dish, but other wines are of course available at a good price.
When booking please inform us about which aperitif you would like, and whether you would like coffee, petit fours and spirits after dinner.
Receptions
We are happy to cater for receptions and other functions in the Atrium of the Diamond or in søren k.
A minimum of 25 people is required, but please contact us about receptions for smaller groups.
Catering for meetings and conferences
Restaurant søren k caters for your meetings, courses or conferences!
We are able to provide smaller og larger servings in all of the conference rooms in the Diamond. We have put together a number of set packages, but are happy to create a tailor-made package to suit your particular needs. If possible we prefer booking and orders 2 weeks in advance, and for functions for more than 100 people we would prefer 4 weeks advance notice.
We recommend that you contact the booking office of the Royal Library regarding booking of conference rooms, and then contact our sales office for inquiry regarding catering. Terms of booking
Prices
All prices include VAT and service. We reserve rights to changes and price adjustments.
Billing
It is possible to arrange for the bill to be sent to you, but please remember responsible arranger's signature on the receipt. Payment is due within 8 days. If the invoice is sent to foreign countries there will be a additional charge of DKK 200,-.
Credit cards
All major credit cards are accepted. Please note that payment with both Danish and foreign credit cards are subject to an added fee.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation later than 4 weeks before the date of the event is not possible, and is subject to payment of up to 100 % of the amount. This includes both food and beverages, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Additions to your food and beverage order can be made up to 8 days before the event, unless other arrangements have been made.
Cancellation of larger parts of the menu or beverages can be made no later than 4 weeks before the event, smaller changes can be made up to 8 days before the event.
No show
By no show payment will 100 % of the amount.
Final number of participants
The final number of participants is needed 8 days before the event, and cannot be reduced to less than 50 % of the original number.
Less than 8 days before the event no more changes in numbers can be made and payment will be claimed for the number ordered for by that date. This includes food as well as beverages.
If you are unable to meet these terms, please contact us in advance for other possible arrangements.

We cater for many company and private dinners, but are also capable of catering for company parties, as well as weddings, birthdays, jubilees, etc, where you have the whole restaurant to youselves. In summer the aperitif can be enjoyed on the harbour front and dinner can be served either in the restaurant or our private function room, Regine. Coffee is served in the espresso bar Øieblikket, and the party continues in søren k.
At restaurant søren k we like to keep in step with the world in general and the seasons in particular. As a consequence we offer up our menus in tribute to the produce of the season– in our experience that makes for the tastiest foods, and it gives us the pleasure of experimenting with the freshest of produce from the market to boot. We compose a set menu as well as our à la carte menu. Our à la carte menu changes according to the offerings on the market. You can find our current à la carte menu here. The à la carte card is mainly for smaller group less than 10-15 guests.
Good advice
Our set menu makes it easy for our customers to choose and order well in advance. The menu is targeted at 10 people or more. Be aware that the same menu should be ordered for the entire group of guest. Please allow us at least 3 days to prepare for your visit! If some of the guests have allergies or are vegetarians we will take this into account, as long as were know it in advance.
It is important that the entire party orders the same menu. However, we are happy to change courses due to religious beliefs or allergies, as long as we are notified in advance.
In the following material, we suggest a good wine complimenting each course, if you do not wish this wine, we offer a number of other wines, at a good price. During the ordering process, you should consider choice of aperitif and whether or not you would like coffee, petit fours and choice of digestive.
